Stakeholder Consultations

rural area consultationsConsultations with our stakeholders have continued throughout this process of project development.  Over the past few months, consultations and meetings have been held with the private sector, civil society and rural communities as we seek to further develop projects and ensure that they are realistic and address the particular needs of society.

Numerous consultations have been held with rural communities across the country.  These have been related to the development of both the roads projects, as well as the rural electrification project.  Members of MCC Mission Teams have been involved in all these consultations and in most communities have met with the paramount chiefs, women, youth and a representation of community members.

Through these interactions, both MCA-Malawi and the MCC have been able to not only provide communities with information about possible projects, but more importantly, have garnered information and feedback which will be incorporated in the projects currently being developed.  This will ensure that the rural electrification and roads project will meet the specific needs of the people.
